ARMENIAN COMMUNITY IN EGYPT
 

The group of Junior Friends of the Embassy was involved at the initial stages of creating this website. They helped with collecting information on the Armenian community and institutions in Egypt. They also assisted in drawing the site map.

Below each member of the Junior's group expresses his/her opinion about their involvement in the website creation.

Mr. Ayk Zakarian
Mr. Ayk Zakarian

Ayk received a BA in Political Science from the American University in Cairo. He is currently enrolled in the Political Science Master's program of the same University.

"Working on the Embassy web-site project allowed me the opportunity to learn new and interesting 'in-depth' information, whether by summarizing or translating documents, while contributing and bringing about something useful. It was a way to contribute and create something that would benefit both the Community and the Embassy, while instilling a sense of pride in all those who participated."

Ms. Maral Balayan

Maral received a Bachelors of Arts in Mass Communications from Misr International University.

"Knowing that some Armenian Embassies around the world have interesting websites and links was an initiative to start working on the website for the Armenian Embassy in Egypt. Moreover, it made me feel proud to be involved in such a project, which will be seen by millions around the world."

Ms. Mane Pladian
Ms. Mane Pladian

Mane is an undergraduate student at Misr International University majoring in Integrated Marketing Communication.

"The Embassy web-site project was a great opportunity for me as an Armenian living in Egypt to try and be helpful to my native country, even if that meant carrying out small tasks. I really enjoyed and benefited as well from this experience."

Ms. Laura Kassabian
Ms. Laura Kassabian

Laura is a graduate of the American University in Cairo with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. She works as Graphic Designer in Community Times Magazine.

"Contributing to the construction of the Embassy's website was an excellent opportunity to get in sync with news about Armenia and its international relations with Egypt as well as other countries. More importantly, I participated in the project because, as an Armenian-Egyptian, it is my responsibility to utilize my skills to benefit the Armenian community."
