Mr. Vart Alexanian is the founder and owner of Etalex company established in 1952. The company has three major branches: (1) metal engraving, tooling and mold making, (2) manufacturing of cups, trophies, shields, medallions medals for sportive and commemorative events, (3) producing of labels and stickers on different materials such as papers and metals. Mr. Alexanian’s sons took over the factory and introduced high-tech machinery to all its branches.

Mr. Garibian has over 35 years of commercial consultancy experience helping companies with management and financial difficulties, primarily in France. In the recent past, the owner of three types of business in Egypt: commercial company, agencies and import-export company, and manufacturing of lighting fittings and architectural products.

6. Mr. Norayr DeuvletianMr. Norayr Deuvletian is the owner and managing director of "Vosguedar Press" since 1965. "Vosguedar" is an Armenian name composed of two words: "Vosgui" which means "Gold" and "Dar" which means "Letter". Thus, "Vosguedar" means "The Golden Letter."

7. Mr. Freddy KaragueuzianThe owner of “Onnig of Cairo" shop, which has been the Egyptian Museum’s exclusive jeweller/gift shop for years. Strategically located on the ground floor of the Egyptian museum, Onnig has taken the lion’s share of business from museum-visitors who inevitably stop to browse.

Mr. Sarkis H. Vartzbedian established his business in Alexandria in 1958 manufacturing quality leather wear & engaging in leather trade. He was nominated as Consultant by the European Common Market in 1980 and also chosen by Ministerial decree to represent Egyptian Leather to four European countries, Switzerland in 1982 and Australia in 1986 & 1990. After the tragic earthquake that shook Armenia in 1988, he was decorated by then the Soviet Armenian government for services rendered. Mr. Vartzbedian is a President of the AGBU Alexandria Chapter since 1989. He is a member of the Alexandria Sporting Club, the Yacht Club, the Club of Alexandria [ex. Syrian Club], Alexandria Center of Arts, Rotary Club of Alexandria.


COUNCIL MEMBERS AWARDED CERTIFICATES OF APPRECIATION
Based on the Presidential Decree as of December 27, 2006, President of Armenia Robert Kocharian handed Certificates of Appreciation to the members of the Embassy Council for their continuous support rendered to the Embassy of Armenia in Egypt. The awarding ceremony took place at the Embassy Reception on April 14, 2007, in the frameworks of the official visit of the President Kocharian to Egypt.
